There's a lot of thing I know in my life with sports, biking and skating etc, but out of all thing i know i think that I know what it's like to be a fisherman the most. I started fishing with my dad when i was about 5 and loved it ever since i caught my first fish. My mom would take me all the time once i started actually getting into it. I have been fishing every weekend of my life for 10 years now so you could say I know a lot about fishing.
I ocean fish a little and have caught a couple nice fish but i prefer lake fishing. In Huntington Beach i caught a 5 foot leopard shark. I have caught many lingcod on ocean boats and rock fish. When i ocean fish I normally fish for halibut, calico bass and sand bass because it's the closest thing to lake fishing for bass.
Lake fishing is what I know best. I have been fishing my local lake which is Lake Casitas.I have been learning about the lake ever since i started years ago. When to fish certain bait because of the water temperature, when to fish and where to fish on cloudy, sunny, and rainy days. How to target big bass and figure out what they are eating and why they eat what they eat. Or finding out why live in certain places and not others. There's a lot to learn about fishing and it's not easy sometimes. You just have to be at the right place at the right time with the right bait tied on.
They have tournament for bass fishing at Casitas and i have only fished two. It cost 300 dollars to enter and if you win you get over 2000 dollars and a free rod or reel. They have day tournaments from 6am to 3pm and night tournaments, from 5pm to 1am. I have fished two night tournaments and have placed 10th out of 40 other guys. I'm the youngest kid out there.
Out of all things to know i think that i know fishing best and hope to one day make it to the pros and have kids and other people looking up to me like i look up to them.
